This weekend we made some BLT's, minus the lettuce though cause while taking all 3 littles grocery shopping with me on Friday and having two of those said littles running around the store like completely misbehaved children (yup, I was THAT momma), this momma was sure to forget a few items on her list.
Anywaaaays, so as I was saying, we made some BT's (no L) and as I was getting the cookie sheet out for the bacon my hubs gives me a weird look. He has always made bacon on the stove top and not the oven so he is a bit confused as to what I'm doing. In his weird-face making moment I realize that some of you may not have any clue as to what I'm talking about either. Bacon in the oven? Are you serious? YUPPERS, it's the easiest, most simple way to make bacon ever! NO splatters, NO greasy mess to deal with after and best of all NO standing at the stove top flipping bacon!! Wahoo...could it get an better!?!
Alright, so here is how you do it:
Oven-Cooked Bacon -print this recipe HERE-
Package of your favorite bacon
Jelly Roll pan (Okay, so I call this a cookie sheet, it's really a cookie sheet with a lip or edge!)
So first line your JELLY ROLL PAN with foil...
Bake in your oven at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes. More toward the 20 minute mark if you like your bacon crispy...Mmm, YUM!
It'll look like this when all cooked up, see just like bacon on the stove top except nice and flat not all curled up and scrawny!
Are you seeing all that grease? Eeew!
Okay, so next line a plate, or another jelly roll pan, with the paper towels...
Now, carefully place each piece of bacon onto the paper towels with a fork or some tongs. This step will help soak up all the grease from your bacon...YAY for our arteries!!!
And, throw that grease-laden foil away...see, easy clean-up...whadiditellya!?!
Then, just dig in and eat...bacon is best eaten right out of the oven, who's with me on this?
A lovely BT for a lovely weekend lunch (and if I would have some well-behaved children there would be some L on there too...ehhh, maybe next time!)
