Easy 3-Step Glitter Hair Clips-TUTORIAL

Last week, the girls and I spent a few hours one afternoon while Noah was at Kindergarten making some super cute glittery hair clippies.  No matter how many hair clips we own, there is always room for more.  Or at least that is what Penelope tells me ;-)

These clips are seriously so easy to make.  3 steps to sweet glittery hair goodness? For reals, peeps.  You can bust out a whole collection in no time flat...and even with the help of little hands.

You know what?  Now that I think about it, these not only take 3 steps to make, they take 3 particular items to make them.  Boom!  Awesomely fast crafting with minimal supplies, me likey that!

To make some of these Easy 3-Step Glitter Hair Clips you'll need one of these Creatology Foamies Party Platters from Darice sold exclusively at Michaels.  If you don't remember from this post here, I was given a few of these fun platters to play with a few months back. These kids crafts supplies come stocked with lots of colorful foam cut outs, glue-on embellishments, and a few circular sheets of adhesive foam stickers to create fun crafts.  This particular platter is called Bright Shapes and contains flower, heart and butterfly foam shapes as well as squares and circle shapes in softer color shades.

Let's make a few, shall we?

Easy 3-Step Glitter Hair Clips

1 Creatology Foamies Bright Shapes Party Platter
Glue Dots or craft glue
Hair Clips (I used Alligator clips!)

Step 1: Take one flower foam shape and stick a glue dot in the center of it.  Add a glue dot to the top (bent portion) of the alligator clip too.

Step 2: Press a glittered flower foam shape on top of the the glue dot making sure the petals are slightly askew.  You can add one (or a few!) of the adhesive foam stickers on the top of the glittered foam flower to decorate it a bit more if you'd like too.

Step 3: Press the bent part of the alligator clip (with the glue dot on top) to one edge of the backside of the flower like the picture above. Make sure you do not press it to the center of the back of the flower as it will make the clip sit oddly on your head!

Continue again and again with those 3 steps until you have lots of pretty hair accessories :-)

Perfect for any little girl!  You could even clip them onto a sweater, a purse, or a belt...oh, the fun!

I hope you make a few and have fun creating these cute clippies for the sweet little girls in your life!

Oh that will be something for my litte girl!
I Think I'll cut the flowers (or other things) out or make them from felt?

A really nice idea for the rainy days =)
