JoTotes Camera Bag Giveaway!

Oh my goodness, can I tell you how I have been dying, just dying to tell you about this HUGE giveaway today.  I absolutely LOVE JoTotes, their camera bags are so well made, so roomy, and so stylish. If you don't already own one, I highly suggest you enter this giveaway today and try to win this one. You are gonna love it!

I chose to review the Betsy camera bag in Chocolate since I wanted to get a more neutral color bag that would work with my fall/winter wardrobe! This bag totally fits the bill. It is that perfect shade of brown that goes with everything :-)

If you lift the front flap you find two smaller front pockets that stay closed via a hidden magnetic enclosure. Just perfect for all those little things...business cards, pens, extra camera batteries, and on and on and on!

The inside is super roomy (like all their bags!) This one can fit my iPad in the padded laptop sleeve (which by the way can hold a 13" Macbook Air or Pro too!), my camera body with zoom lens, an external flash and even an extra fixed lens! Plus as a bonus, I just love the cute sky blue color. It not only adds that extra touch of stylishness that I love but it also makes it darn easy to see what the heck I put in my bag anyways.  It also comes with three adjustable interior pads and there is protective foam sewn into the lining on all four sides as well as the bottom of the bag too.

The exterior flap is also zippered compartment...sneaky!! And roomy!

And there is also a zippered compartment on the back too!

Have a sold you on JoTotes yet?

I thought I would! ;-)

BOOK REVIEW and GIVEAWAY: Mason Jar Crafts

Today I'm sharing a review of this lovely book, Mason Jar Crafts by Lauren Elise Donaldson. If you love mason jars as much as I do, you will love this book! It is chock full of clever ideas on how to craft with mason jars, with 30 fun projects and over 150 step-by-step photos.

The book is full of really, really pretty and colorful photographs, seriously so much eye candy! And the crafts are not too difficult, I would say any level of crafter would love this book and even the most beginner crafter would be able to make many of the projects. I also really like that most of the crafts use materials that most any crafter would have at home.

A lot of the projects could be accomplished in a few hours time and would work great as home decor, wedding or bridal/baby shower decor, and even gifts. Hello, Christmas is right around the corner!

If you are interested in winning your very own copy of this book, click here now, or enter via the Rafflecopter link below!

Brew Over Ice: Review and Giveaway!

Have you tried the new Brew Over Ice drinks for your Keurig® brewer?  Oh My Heck! They are sooo good! They are the newest member of the K-Cup® and are packed with the perfect amount of ingredients for you to brew over ice without your drink tasting diluted. Have you ever tried that with a regular K-cup? No bueno!

I love my Keurig, I actually think I have one of the first models they ever made, when I see all the new models I get a little jealous of all the updated bells and whistles, sigh. But my Keurig is still going strong so holla for that!

I was sent a few of the new Brew Over Ice flavors to try out and I gotta say, I really enjoyed them all. Snapple Iced Teas in peach and lemon,  I mean who doesn't love Snapple anything? The Brew Over Ice Iced Coffee was the perfect afternoon treat. And my favorites, the Vitamin Burst flavors in Strawberry Pomegranate and Acai Berry were soooo good! The Vitamin Burst flavors use Stevia and Sugar instead of aspartame or Splenda which I really liked and they are caffeine free so I felt pretty good letting the kids have some :-)

Well, wouldn't you know it but Brew Over Ice is offering my lovely readers some fun products for you to try the new Brew Over Ice K-cups yourself!

How do these goodies sound...

  • 3 Brew Over Ice K-Cup® samples to help you find your favorite icy brew
  • 1 Brew Over Ice tumbler
  • 4 Brew Over Ice coasters
  • 1 Brew Over Ice light-up ice bucket with ice tongs to help keep those cold drinks a-brewin'

  • Sweet! I thought you might like them!

Back to School Organization with Martha Stewart Home Office™ with Avery™ PLUS Giveaway!

We have about 2 weeks until school starts here, holy smokes where has summer gone?! I'm pretty sure I've spent the majority of August trying to get organized for back to school, you too? I have been spending a whole lot of time getting friendly with my calendar to get our family's schedule organized and on track, there is just so much...but I love organization so I'm cool with it!

Luckily I was able to review a whole bunch of fun new products from the Martha Stewart Home Office™ with Avery™line found only at Staples. Martha thinks of everything! She is seriously the Queen of organization.

The line offers so many things just perfect for Back to School organization.  Dry erase Meal Planners and Weekly Planners, Vinyl Chalkboard tags and removable flourish Chalkboards, and pretty flourish cork boards that will fit your home's decor juuuuust right, ahhh!

There is a line of pretty shagreen organizers too!  Sturdy Document Storage Boxes to help contain papers, pencils, and other homework staples, as well as Magazine Files and Vertical File Folders to organize all those important papers and permission slips.

The Martha Stewart Home Office™ with Avery™line also has a whole Discbound Notebook section that accepts a calendar insert among other things to help you create the perfectly personalized on-the-go calendar for your family.

I admit that I have the hardest time finding a good calendar set up. It's so hard to find a calendar that is not only pretty on the outside but functional for our family of 6 on the inside. That is no small feat I tell you! It has to have enough room for me to write out my entire family's schedule. The Discbound Notebook with calendar insert totally fits the bill....see, look how pretty it is!

This is a sample calendar sheet that can fit inside, the day is split up into sections so you can fit every activity in with no problems.  It's kinda like one of those big wall calendars but shrunk to fit into a notebook.

You can get Plastic Dividers that can be written on with dry erase markers....love that feature and used mine to separate out each month for easy finding!

And you can also get these awesome Removable Color Coding Labels.  These are my absolute favorite...kinda like little dots of washi tape.  They are colorful (hello rainbow fun!) and super easy to remove. They are perfect for personalizing your calendar...it's color coding fun at it's best!

I have been having a blast using them! :-)

Another fun insert are the Discbound Two-Tone Pockets that you can add to give you handy storage for paperwork...or your color coding labels!

Man, I just love this organizational line!!! I could browse Staples all day picking and choosing more of these goodies that just NEED to come home with me, couldn't you?

Are you interested in owning some of these awesome organizational products?  Well, Martha Stewart Home Office™ with Avery™would like to offer my readers a $50 Staples® gift card for Martha Stewart Home Office™ with Avery™ products all you have to do is enter via the widget below or click here now!

Bento Lunch Goodies Review and Giveaway

I was asked to review some fun Bento lunch goodies from BentoUSA and with school starting in just a few weeks it couldn't have been better timing. I just love Bento lunches and Bento supplies and if you remember my Bento Lunches Series here and here you know how big my love for all things Bento truly is!

They sent out some super fun products...I loved each one and my kids gave everything their seal of approval as well! Can I tell you how excited we all are for school lunches this year! This will be the first year I will get to pack school lunches...and it will be times 2, for Noah and Penny as they are both in FULL day school this year, eeep!

Up first, this darling Japanese Two-Tier Bento Food Ball in the shape of a Blue Bear.
So cute, right? It comes with two compartments (one on top and one on the bottom) that will fit a good size school lunch of fruit or veggies, crackers, cheese, etc.

The set even comes with this adorable lunch bag, how sweet is that!!!

We also tried out the Small (190 ml) Blue Bear Bento Snack Box.  Like it's name states, it is perfect for snacks! The little bear lid seals tightly so you won't have any spillage of foods either!

If you are at all interested in trying to get your kids to learn how to use chopsticks then the Japanese Assisted Training Chopsticks are for you! There is a little movable rubber ring on each chopstick that children can place their fingers in so they can hold the chopstick properly and it won't keep slipping. Genius!

Another fun thing I was able to review was this neat Sandwich Cutter and Pastry Stamp Kit. I gotta tell ya this was just a blast to play with!

You can cut out the shapes of a cat, panda bear, pig, and a froggy face with the outer piece. Then just use the stamp aspect (the inner piece) to stamp on/and or cut out the animals faces. If you cut out the faces by pushing the stamp all the way through you will need the handy pick to punch out the eyes, nose, mouth and ears. This works great with bread, cookies, sticky rice, cheese, deli meat, etc...a definite two thumbs from us. This set has already had a lot of use in my house this summer and will be sure to get even more use in my lunch making routine this fall!

I also used the inner face pieces to stamp bread and then toasted it so the face stood out...my kids loved seeing that for breakfast!

So how much do you love Bento lunches!!!

BentoUSA is kind enough to offer my readers some of these fun Bento goodies to get your lunch-making routine off to a great start this fall.  You can enter to win all of this:

(One) Sandwich Cutter and Pastry Stamp Kit
    (One) Japanese Training Chopstick Set
(One) Blue Bear Ball Bento Container

    Awesome!!!

**Today's post is written as a Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 Foodimals Featured Contributor, this is a sponsored post and I have been compensated for writing it.  However, all opinions are truthful and my own. This post contains paid links.

Did you see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs when it came out a few years ago?  I thought it was so fun to see one of my favorite books as a kid come to life on the big screen.  I remember there was always a waiting list to check that book out of my elementary school library...ahhh, good times :-) I love that I can share that fun book and now the movie with my own children, such a cool feeling to be able to do that.

Well, Sony Pictures is at it again and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 is coming to theaters soon, hooray!  In the sequel, the food is alive! Sony Pictures team has create a whole bunch of fun characters made of food, called "Foodimals", and I'm going to bring one of them to life just for you!

Please, take a look at Exhibit A....
This is the Hippotatomus. It's a potato that's a hippo, hipPOTATOmus, it has chives teeth and a butter tongue.

To make the Hippotatomus you will need:

    1 potato
    1 scallion (or chives)
    1 pat of butter
    2 peppercorn (optional for eyes)

    1. Scrub your potato, prick it all over with a fork, and cook it in the microwave for about 6 minutes with 2 tablespoons of water or until it is tender inside.

    2. Once the potato is cool to the touch, cut a small slit at one end for the hippo's mouth. The size of the slit will depend on the size of your potato!

    3. Chop the green end of the scallion into 1/2 inch pieces and push a few of them into the potato towards the front of the mouth, these will be the teeth.

    4. Add the pat of butter inside the slit (mouth) for the tongue!

    5. Cut two small triangular pieces of the potato skin at the top of the head and fold forward to make the hippo's ears.

    6. Add 2 peppercorns for the eyes.

    7. Enjoy your Foodimal...hello, Hippotatomus, how cute are you!
