So today I wanted to share with you part of my mama morning routine. I'd call it a beauty routine, but who are we kidding? With three kids there is no way I have time for a "beauty" routine! After I shower in the morning (or at least wash my face!) I put on Olay Total Effects Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer. Now, to be honest with you, I was given this to try and review. I have to say, though, that I really like using it. Here is what it looks like.
Kinda like a vanilla/chocolate swirled ice cream cone! I like using it because it's a UV moisturizer and has an SPF of 15. I try to make sure most every product I use for daytime has an SPF, just to be safe. Some things I like about this product are: it's not greasy, which is a total must in a moisturizer for me -- there is nothing worse than a greasy face. It also goes on smoothly and easily, plus it is nice and lightweight so my face never feels weighed down with make-up type products. The pump is also super easy to use and it pumps out the perfect portion needed. Have you ever used a pump that always gets clogged? Ugh, so annoying! This is definitely not that! I also use this moisturizer as my base, meaning I put it on first and apply my foundation on top with no problems!
Total Effects Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer is designed to do three things specifically:
1. Minimize the look of spots instantly
2. Help with the appearance of discoloration
3. Fight the seven signs of agingSounds good right? But you might be wondering how this fights the seven signs of aging. Well, by doing these things:
- Nourishing moisurization (for a radiant healthy glow)
- Tone enhancement (balances color and reduces appearance of age spots)
- Gentle exfoliation (smoothes and evens skin texture)
- Eye Puffiness Reduction (massages to reduce the appearance of eye puffiness)
- Free Radical Defense (helps prevent damage to skin's surface)
- Dryness defense (reduces the appearance of dryness)
- Luminosity: recaptures youthful glow

I'm doing well if I remember to wash my face each night before I fall asleep, lol, but I've been trying to use moisturizer sometimes too lately!
ReplyDeleteI make sure to was my face and moisturize when I get up and before I go to bed.
ReplyDeleteWell, not much time to carve out, but I do wash my face with plain water (warm then cold) at night. Use tea tree oil and water in the morning. It's hard for me as I am allergic to formaldehyde and neomycin, so it really limits the products I can use. :( I will have to check out the ingredients for Olay! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI wash my face in the shower and I moisturize when I get out. Other than that I probably don't take as much time I as I should and I definitely don't put on UV protection in the summer. This container really does look like a soft-serve swirl!
ReplyDeleteI wash my face daily and I use Oil of Olay moisturizing lotion when I need to.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could remember to use moisturizer! I am pretty unreliable about it. This sounds perfect!
ReplyDeletelove that you shared this product...I love olay (ever since i started using facial mosturizer when I was a teenager with the little pink bottle with that distinct olay smell-mmm) Since then I've added creamy cleansers and total effects products to my arsenal & love them! I am an spf girl and must have it on to head outdoors!
ReplyDeleteI moisturize at night before bed. The morning is too hectic.

I need to wake up at least 15 minutes before the kids so I have time to properly wash my face. And 80% of the time, I am not too tired to wash off the day's grime before I go to bed. If I'm lucky enough to get any extra time in the shower, that's my time to exfoliate!
ReplyDeleteDrink lots and lots of water!
ReplyDeleteI wash my face in the shower
ReplyDeleteI try to take care of my skin but it seems like the only time is right before bed when the entire house is finally quite and I can wash my face in peace. I wish I had more alone time to be able to pamper myself!

I will be turning 40 this year and wish I would have given more attention to my skin. If I could turn the clock back, I would add a daily regimen for my skin. Now I need more help!
ReplyDeleteI keep Pond's and a box of Kleenex beside the bed. When I'm too tired for anything else, I can slather that on and wipe off the days uck while moisturizing at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI try to remember to wash my face in the shower but better than that I try to get a facial every three or four months.
ReplyDeletei clean my face when i have my 2 kids in the tub- they can wash themselves-i just do their hair -plus they need time to play- so thats my time to take care of my skin
ReplyDeletetcogbill at live dot com
this is an area i seriously need to work on but i try and take care of my skin best by not using a lot of heavy makeup.
ReplyDeletemonicaandrew25@hotmail.com
I use SPF 15 every day and every Sunday night, I take a nice bath with an oil absorbing mask and a good book.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I do enough but I do use a moisturizer every day after I get out of the shower. Great giveaway, thanks.
ReplyDeleteI don't take good care of my skin. I'm lucky if I find a chance to shower.
ReplyDeletei have an elliptical machine in my bedroom & at least once a week I "try" to do a facial mask. (first 10 minutes of my workout)
ReplyDeleteSince having kids, I've relied on Oil of Olay's cleansing cloths to take my makeup off at the end of the day. 20-30 seconds and I'm done. I use Olay moisturizer in the am to start my day with a little moisture and some UV protection!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I apply a heavy mousturizer at night, and sun block during the day.
ReplyDeleteI always put face and eye cream on at night; and I always wear sunscreen moisturizer during the day. Mascara is a must. Sometimes I have a mimosa.

ReplyDeleteReally?
ReplyDeleteNo answer from me.
I try to convince my 5 year old to brush his teeth himself in the morning,
but most days, he doesn't want to.
Greetings,
Tina
I take advantage of the kids naps when I can & do my make-up routine daily in the car when I'm waiting for them to get out of school. Good use of 1/2 an hour...along with catching up on my mail.
ReplyDeleteAfter the kids are in bed is when I get my Mommy time :)
ReplyDeleteI try to always make time to take care of myself in the morning, but at night is harder!
ReplyDeleteUsing a toner and moisturizer at night to clean the day off.
ReplyDeleteI clean my face only at night, while my son is in the bath or getting in his pj's. I use a combo of olive oil, tea tree oil, and castor oil. Rub it into my face, then put a steaming hot washcloth on my face. It's like a mini spa treatment every night!
ReplyDeleteThe number one thing is SPF on my face everyday. I live in Florida, so you can't escape the sun here.
ReplyDeleteMy mom taught me at an early age to always take care of my skin. I wash my face, exfoliate and moisturize at night. After my morning shower I moisturize my face and put vaseline on my lips to keep them soft.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great product! I wear sunscreen. :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like something I really need. Outside of moisturizer, I am really lax on skin care. I do use alot of lotion though so hopefully that will help!!
ReplyDeleteOne night a week after my kiddo is in bed I take a a few hours to really pamper myself... bubble bath, sugar scrub, face mask, cuticle care, etc. I go to sleep that night feeling amazing!
ReplyDeletei use tinted moisturizer and exfoliate every week

I once read that it is prudent to moisturize within 3 minutes of getting out of the shower while the humidity abounds. I always do my face first with Oil of Olay that has a 15 SPF. Only after my face is done I do my arms and legs.....it's a great routine to get into with every shower! Every few weeks - while watching evening shows I try to remember to "file" my aging heels and apply foot cream and follow with cotton socks - our aging bodies :D (rxqueen314@msn.com OR on Ravelry -> rxqueen314)
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog, I love it! Carve out time to take care of my skin? My boy is 16w old, I've been feeling pretty good about actually washing my face every night since his arrival. 60 seconds to myself ;)
ReplyDeleteAlways, always sunscreen. That and I drink a glass of water before I go to bed, to make up for all the water I didn't drink during the day.
ReplyDeleteI love their products and don't start my day without them. What I love is that they are not heavy and they don't make my face break out. Plus they are so affordable.
ReplyDeleteI use SPF on my skin every day. I only wear make up once a week. I eat a lot of fresh whole foods and lots of water. Although, the daily stress of raising four kids seems to be catching up with me. Aloha.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear makeup so I don't need to scrub it off. I get about 5 minutes in the morning to wash my face with water, brush teeth, pull hair back into a ponytail, and apply moisturizer with SPF. At night I'm, too tired to bother.
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky if I remember to wash my face everyday, but I will at least wipe my face down with witch hazel before I go about my day and then apply a moisturizer with a sunscreen and then I once a week I try and get all girly and stuff and wear makeup
ReplyDeleteI wash and moisturize my face every morning and night.
ReplyDeleteI tweeted: https://twitter.com/#!/KariWins/status/189461902458499072
ReplyDeleteI wash at night in the shower and use Regenerist right after brushing my teeth. It's fast and easy, but makes a huge difference. Once a week I rub a cut lemon on my skin. It exfoliates in a minute, step in the shower and rinse off. It's amazing the difference in softness. In the morning, a tinted moisturizer helps cut some time while still taking care of my skin.
ReplyDeleteI use my Olay Regenerist skincare day and night so my skin looks so healthy. Thank you Olay! :)

For me I do my "bed time" routine after dinner when I"m still awake and not falling asleep at bed time.
ReplyDeleteI always moisturize just before I go to bed at night. At least weekly, I take time to really do a thorough facial routine; wash, tone and moisturize rather than just the quickie wash and moisturize I do after showering.

ReplyDeleteI make sure to use a mask at least once a week. I also use my clarisonic in the shower- speeds things up instead of using it at sink! :)
ReplyDeleteI keep a facial scrub and soap in the shower. I then use lotion all over right after I get out. I put lotion on all day and drink a lot of fluids.

I wash & moisturize twice daily with an eye cream at night. I also try to eat healthy because when I don't, my skin tells the whole world!
ReplyDeleteI'm in my late 50's -- taking care of my skin is very important. Every night while watching TV, I soak my tootsies and then rub on cream. It makes me feel wonderful. I also have a twice daily ritual of face cleansing, toning and moisturizing. I drink lots of water and eat healthy probably 80% of the time.
ReplyDeleteLots of water and moisturizer every morning and night. I've been wanting to try this!
ReplyDeleteAt least SPF-15 on my face every day!
ReplyDeleteI drink a lot of water and make sure that I do a full routine each night consisting of washing, using a toner, a revitalizing serum, an eye cream, and a night cream and every morning I do the same except I use a day cream with SPF15.
ReplyDeleteI have to drink at least 2 water bottles (yep, the big o' nalgenes) full of water out here in Colorado or else my skin feels like it will peel off!
ReplyDeleteI wash my face in the morning with facial cleanser, then use SPF lotion to moisturize my face, and then at night I do the same . and also use Sunlotion.

My Mom has used Oil of Olay until she went to the Mommy heaven and she was 84 & didn't look a day over 60. I picked up all her habits at a very early age cuz I worried about the sun and my skin. I love all their products. This particular one Santa brought me with four other Oil of Olay (Olay) products. I love them and once more I'm living proof that they work and I'm so faithful to their products every morning and night!

I usually use the late night hours for skin pampering and treatments. I'm a night owl!
